Shadorux Network Expansion
The Shadorux network had a major expansion pass across discovery, search, reference material, official-source news, the resource archive, the Shadow Webring, SHADOW.FUN, and the main landing experience.
Shadow News is now a dedicated official-source news desk for Shadow-related game updates, merchandise, events, video, and movie signals. Every card points back to the primary source, the hub has category/search filters, and a separate Shadow News Atom feed is available for people who want the signal without the rest of the network feed.
The new Shadow Reference Core launches with focused pages for appearances, voice actors, quotes, music, and design history. The existing timeline remains the canonical chronology instead of being duplicated.
The resource library also gained client-side search and filters for creator, source status, and tags where available, plus visible provenance and usage cues generated from the metadata already attached to each graphic. Existing credits and usage notes were preserved.
The site briefly launched a broader contribution hub during this expansion pass. It has since been simplified into Report an Issue, a contact and support page for broken links, corrections, credit problems, removal requests, safety concerns, and technical bugs.
Two new Shadow-focused search-entry pages are now live: Shadow the Hedgehog (2005) Paths and Shadow the Hedgehog Timeline. Both are designed to help people discover the wider network through useful Shadow-specific pages instead of relying only on the homepage.
The Shadow Webring now has a real join flow. Site owners can fill out a short application that prepares a GitHub issue, and approved members can add a classic Previous / Random / Next / Shadow Webring navigation widget to their own sites.
SHADOW.FUN also received another polish pass, including stronger sharing and replay features across several experiences, encoding cleanup on the landing page, and fixes to the shared network branding.
The main Shadorux landing page was also fixed so the Westopolis access terminal appears correctly on mobile, and the Gamer Ring widget was moved to Westopolis Residents where independent-web and webring connections belong.
Outside the site itself, Shadorux continued its distribution pass across active independent-web directories and webrings, while the internal sitemap, SEO checks, and cross-linking were cleaned up to help search engines find more of the Shadow-focused network.
